Look Closer At Me

James Sirius Potter. Seventeen Years Old. House is Gryffindor.

The ‘Howler’

James had left Professor McGonagall’s office, James had been feeling like an idiot for going outside. But it wasn’t his fault at all! No one would listen to him, he had even tried telling Professor McGonagall the truth, and still he was blamed for this. Kicking at the ground, James went to the Great Hall for supper. Everyone was inside, sitting there, and once he stepped through the doors, everyone was in an upright. He knew what they were talking about, James made his way to the Gryffindor table, and sat down at the far end, away from as many people as possible. Starring at his empty plate of food he sighed as his Owl came swooping down and dropped something. Looking at the letter, he swore. It of course, was a Howler. Opening it up slowly, he could hear his mother’s voice screaming at the top of her lungs.

JAMES SIRIUS POTTER!
HOW DARE YOU BURN
DOWN THAT TREE!
YOU ARE GROUNDED
FOR THE REST OF YOUR
LIFE! WHEN YOU GET
HOME WE ARE HAVING

A SERIOUS CHAT!

The letter burned up and vanished as James sat there, his face grew red, not because he was embarrassed, but because he was angry. Instead of staying in the Great Hall, he stood up and left, he had something to do. James headed out of Hogwarts and headed to where the original Whomping Willow was, seeing nothing but ash, where the tree stood, he took out his wand and flicked it, muttering a spell to get rid of the ash. “Accio shovel.” He mumbled, and once a shovel appeared he began to dig up a hole in the ground, taking the seed out of his pocket he placed it in the hole and covered it back up with dirt. Using his wand, he got water to appear, and it slowly poured on top of the dirt. Sighing he sat on the ground and stared at it, hoping it would magically grow again. But when nothing happened he just sat there.
